With the addition of having two female vocalists and a male vocalist, the singers add another level to the mix. The songs are mid tempo but are atmospheric with the interweaving of guitars. Without resorting to just playing fast to produce energy, they weave in more sonic energy with the layers of sound they produce. But not to pigeonhole the band, the music is more adventurous and intricate. In turn, this band plays more of an anarcho punk breed of music. For some reason, I thought this band was going to be more in the metal/crust vein. Heard from people I respect that this was going to be a good release, and, of course, the fact that there was a sort of special pressing, I had to jump. "So I did buy this before the band came through on tour. This is highly essential stuff if you dig polish punkrock! Now, after over 20 years these recordings are available for the 1st time on CD and double vinyl LP - Gatefold cover includes a giant poster with English translations of the songs (that somehow got up-to-date again in today's Poland) and an anti-fascist poster on the other side. This was a break through for the polish anarcho punk scene and om the same year WLOCHATY released their eponymous album "Włochaty" on cassette tape and sold about 20 000 (!) copies! - Due to their success the band was accused of being "commercial", but still played diy shows and demonstrations across Poland. They recorded their first album in 91 and appeared on the Jarocin Festival stage in 1993. WLOCHATY is a long running polish anarcho punk band probably best compared to a polish version of CONFLICT? The band formed in 1987 and just Dezerter had quite a struggle with authorities and right-wing thugs. No matter how much we would like it to be different. This album is a way for us to deal with the fact that we are one of a large pack, submitting to the same societal norms as everyone else. _ Humans are a narcissistic breed, incapable of real change. This is an album seething with anger and frustration. The lyrics dissect the state of human existence, the bizarre animal presence that we are. These ten tracks of destruction display both a love for 80’s metal hooks and intros, as well as primitive hardcore brutality. This time around, Wolfbrigade’s hybrid beast of Swedish hardcore and death metal known as Lycanthro Punk has become even more distinct. The ten songs rip into both body and mind, with no holds barred regarding power, substance and melody. Working in isolation resulted in sharpened ears and teeth. This time they have only submitted to themselves from recording to production and art work. On their tenth full-length album Wolfbrigade go deep and they are ruthless. They are on the prowl, yearning for your blood, warm and fresh. On the wind-bitten plains of Skaraborg, Sweden, the wolves have arisen once again.
